Summer has come, summer has gone and now we are into the throes of fall silently waiting the first snow. Dreading it with each passing day but quietly wishing it would hurry up and arrive so we would know it was here. Never once have we welcomed the cruel months of winter but we have never failed to enjoy them. as if to spit in the face of old man winter we run and play in the fields of white, throw ourselves down and make the image of the angels of heaven, roll up the ground into the image of man and though never able to breath the breathe of life into them always being the breathe of life they look upon. With each step we crush the fate of winter underneath our boots, we rise above the depths with our snowshoes, and we glide over the coldness with the excitement of snowboarding and skiing. No, no, old man winter may come and condemn us to his life in a castle of ice but that can never stop us from seeking and believing that even with in the crystals of snow there should be beauty, indeed - there should be life. Ok, I actually had someone call me on this one comment here. I was surprised. But I stand by my statement that hi5 does not officially monitor these 'all time favorite bands' thingy do.
